Black History Month: John Legend

John Legend is probably my favorite current male R&B/Soul singer. His voice is smooth and soulful, and his songs often throwback to Motown, which just so happens to be one of my favorite movements in music. Not to sound cheesy, but Legend has studied the legends. His fascination with singers like Marvin Gaye shows through in his music, and it makes him stand out in the crowd. In fact, his song Slow Dance is one of my favorite songs ever.
